Wyandot County Esports Beginner Camp 2025
Description
This is a general introduction to esports! Try a different game each day across a variety of genres and learn the basics. Verse your friends and learn new games that are popular in the esports scene. At the end of this camp, you should have basic familiarity with Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Valorant, and League of Legends, culminating in an esports tournament showdown.
This free camp is for students entering grades 6, 7, & 8.
This camp begins is from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. each day.
This camp is limited to 10 participants.
NOTE: Registration requires that each participant has their own email address.

No. Students will be using gaming equipment available at Carey schools. Students need only bring their interest and energy!
Complimentary snacks will be provided by the Wyandot County Community Foundation. Lunch is not provided.
Follow the drive to the left (North) side of the school. This is the high school side. Park in the main lot of the high school. Enter the building at Door #2. A summer camp sign will be outside. Once in the building a sign will direct students to room 1220 just down the hall on the right.
Hana Cornell, Esports Coordinator at Marion Technical College, is coaching and provides the format of the camp. Ms. Cornell is entering her third year with Marion Tech and her teams have been both conference champions and conference runner-ups. Ms. Cornell earned her associate's degree at Westchester Community College and her bachelor's degree at University of New Haven.
